Family Promise of Warren County
Few people are aware of just how serious the problem of homelessness is right here in Warren County. It doesn't take much - an illness, the loss of a job, even the loss of transportation can be the tipping point that pushes a family over the edge. Meet some of your neighbors whose worlds were turned upside down, and some of your other neighbors who, with Family Promise/ WCIHN, are committed to getting them back on their feet. We assist with meals and entertainment, as well as provide overnight supervision and assistance to residential families.
Hoving Home
The purpose of the Hoving Home is to help women become free from addiction and other life controlling problems. It is a nonprofit, residential faith-based program serving women ages 18 and over. Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity evaluator, rated Hoving Home 5 stars.
Giving Tree
Christmas gifts for local children and families in need.
Prayer Shawls
Crafters for Christ knits prayer shawls and pocket prayer shawls to share Christ's love and peace with folks who are faced with challenges and struggles in their lives. They also ceochet baby blankets and caps for newborns at Newton Hospital. Knitting and crocheting lessons are available.
Ladies Aid
Assortment of meetings and activities. In this photo we were donating crocheted blankets and caps for newborns along with Christmas toys to children at Newton Hospital.
