What Happens at Rockport
At Rockport Presbyterian Church, we strive to be a place where you can explore your faith, connect with others, and feel right at home. Our Sunday services include meaningful worship, uplifting music, and practical, Bible-centered teaching. Before and after each service, there's plenty of time to greet friends, meet new people, end enjoy fellowship.
Come as you are -- whether in casual attire or dressier clothes, you will feel completely welcome. What matters most to us is your heart, not your outfit.
We also offer a fun and safe Sunday school during service, where kids can make friends, learn, and grow in their faith.
We're thrilled you're considering joining us and cannot wait to welcome you in person!
Organ Dedication & Celebrating
The Music Ministry of Joan Watters
On December 21st, Rockport’s worship service included both an Organ Dedication and a celebration of the 70 Years of Music Ministry of Joan Watters. Instead of the traditional sermon, the service created space for those who have known and loved Joan—and who participated in her children’s, adult, or bell choirs, or sang in her cantatas—to share heartfelt words of gratitude and treasured memories from those seasons of their lives.
Following worship, we gathered for a special luncheon with all who attended. People from many generations whom Joan influenced and inspired were able to be present, adding their voices and stories to this meaningful celebration. Together, we joyfully honored and celebrated her remarkable ministry.

The organ was also dedicated in loving memory of Pastor Jeff and Teresa Walter’s parents, adding an additional layer of meaning to this special day.

Our History
Rockport Presbyterian Church was founded in 1855 on land donated by Scottish immigrant David C. Davis. Located in the heart of Rockport, it has welcomed generations of worshippers and continues its mission today. Reverend Holloway M. Hunt was our first pastor, starting the legacy of faith we carry on.
